Quick Pix As always, it has been a busy week at Carolina Day. These Key students were busy working on their projects about Africa. They were happy to take a minute to pose for the camera.
And these anxious Key School boys had their own projects to show off.
Not to be outdone, these PK girls across the field are displaying their ocean mural.
And the only thing that could top that in PK was snack time! This group was enjoying some yogurt squeezees and raisins.
Yesterday, a large group of eighth graders took off on their international trips. At this very moment, this group is having the time of their lives in Spain. Another group of eighth graders is in France. The rest of the eighth graders will be flying up to Boston next week for a few days.
What are these guys so happy about?
The answer is middle school field day. This annual event was held this Tuesday. It is a culmination of a year-long intramural rivalry between the blue and red teams. Points are accumulated for a variety of activities throughout the year, and the winner will be announced on the last day of school.

They all got to travel to Knoxville to attend a one-day conference entitled, "Razzle Dazzle - Centers & Activities for Reading, Writing & Math." They're pictured here with Dr. Jean Feldman, the guru of this workshop. Dr. Feldman was impressed that CDS would send not only the teachers, but their assistants as well.
