Quick Pix As always, it has been a busy week at Carolina Day. Today is World AIDS Day and students in Mr. Mahaffey's African literature class were in force this morning increasing awareness by pinning upper school students and faculty with red ribbons. They were also collecting donations which will be used to help AIDS causes.
Math in Action. These students in Mr. Francis's math class at the Key School were working on measurements recently. They put their learning into action by making Russian tea for the upcoming Key School Bake Sale. (Which, by the way, will be held on December 13 and 14 in the lower gym foyer.)
Each year middle school students get to pick and choose from a variety of high-interest activities in a twice-a-week program called "Exploratories." These exploratories change during the year and students can pick a new subject. The following photos are from some of the offerings presented this fall.
