CHAPTER 1   ASSIGNMENTS

You will copy down all problems (except word problems) into your HOMEWORK COMPOSTION NOTEBOOK.  LABEL EACH DAY’S ASSIGNMENT WITH THE BOOK’S SECTION NUMBER.  Show all work!.  Try to do all problems.  If you can’t, be sure to leave sufficient room to do it after you get help.  We will have "homework time" at the beginning of every class period--the answers will be put up on the board, using the overhead projector and you will check over your homework while I’m am checking to see if you have done it.  Then we will go over the most troublesome ones and you can complete or correct them.  The date given in (     )’s  is the date ASSIGNED.  It is due at the beginning of the following class period.  (If you are to miss a class because of a sports event having an early dismissal--show me your homework before you leave--like at lunch.  Get notes from a classmate, see me if necessary, and you will get an extra day to complete the homework assigned on the day that you missed class.)  The date given for test and quiz are actual date that they occur.
