WHAT ARE WE DOING IN MATH AND SCIENCE THIS WEEK?

Math:  We are beginning unit 2 in math that deals with data and graphs.  We are currently working on mean, median, and mode.  We’ll also practice using frequency tables, line plots, bar graphs and line graphs.

Science:   We are beginning a new unit on the digestive system.  We’ll start by learning the difference between mechanical and chemical digestion.  We’ll learn about which foods contain starch by performing an iodine test.  This will lead into our discussion of the structure and function of the digestive system.
