A little about me...

I was born and raised in Decatur, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama for my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  A few years into my teaching career I earned my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, then a Master’s level certification in Educational Adminstration.  After teaching for nine years in my hometown, I married my husband Matt and moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee where I taught fourth grade until the birth of our first son John.  Upon returning to the classroom, I taught first grade for Murfreesboro City Schools, then stayed home with our youngest son Sam for his first year.  We moved to Asheville during the summer of 2008, where I was honored to have been selected to join the faculty of Carolina Day School.  I am thrilled to be here and eagerly anticipate an AWESOME year!!
