The Trial of Harry S. Truman

by Tom Marberger

The Trial of Harry S.Truman is a fictional drama written for high school American history teachers for use in their classrooms. This fictional account places the President on trial for dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Historical figures offer their views on Truman's decision to use the bomb. Eyewitness accounts from bomb survivors add poignancy to the drama. The cast of characters includes veterans who fought on the ground, high ranking military officials, the crew of the Enola Gay, scientists on the Manhattan project, and the President himself. The play is suitable for reading or enacting; it will work in block schedules or traditional length periods.

It's a great way to bring United States history to life! A special teachers section gives information on using this work in your classrooms along with follow-up discussion topics.

Applying to Colleges Made Easy: It's Important Only When You Don't Know It

"In Applying to Colleges Made Easy, Thomas F. Marberger outlines every step of the college application process in a format that is thorough and should be very easy to understand...Each section explains what the applicant will need to know in a manner that is simple and incredibly informative...Readers could benefit from all the information presented in Marberger's text but what they might find most helpful and comforting is his inclusion of a section called 'Questions & Answers About Me.' In this portion the reader gets to look at what is important in a college to him/her as an individual...Applying to Colleges Made Easy is specifically written for students of the Carolina Day School, [and it will] suit a wider audience of high school students in general."
