Dr. W. Leon Elliston

6th Year as a current Trustee; Previously served as a Trustee from 1989 – 1997 and Board Chair from 1994 – 1997; Member of the Committee on Trustees and the Capital Campaign Committee; Allergist with Regional Allergy and Asthma Consultants, PA; Undergraduate degrees from the University of Alabama and Georgia State University; MD from Loma Linda University and Residency and Fellowship at Wake Forest University; Children – Andrew (CDS '96), Lauren (CDS '98) and Audrey (CDS ‘01); Honors – Clinical Assistant Professor – UNC School of Medicine and Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; Community Service – Chair - Peaks Society of the Asheville Buncombe County United Way, Allocations Committee – Hospice; United Way Board of Directors; Mission Healthcare Foundation Board; and WNC Nature Society Education Director. Interests – travel, reading, birdwatching, and golf.
