Key School AdmissionsADMISSIONS CRITERIAConsistent with the mission of The Key School to serve students with specific learning disabilities, applicants will be considered for admission based on the following criteria: 1. Average or above-average potential as measured by an individual intelligence testor Indication by the examiner that the overall score does not represent the true potential of the student due to overriding factors (such as language or auditory processing). 2. Significant discrepancy between intellectual potential and actual achievement in one or more academic areas (such as reading, math, memory, visual perception, etc.). The discrepancy may not qualify a student to be certified LD according to public school standards, but must be significantly interfering with his/her academic success and/or self esteem. 4. An educational/psychological evaluation must be conducted by a licensed psychologist working independently of The Key School and must be current within a three-year period at the time of application.
